Today Kristina and I were talking about doctors, since I was considering making an appointment to see one, and she mentioned that her previous doctor was always at a conference or playing golf. She saw the Physician's assistant (PA) most of the time... which brought up the topic of how a PA is different from a doctor.
I knew a little since Taylor considered exploring what it took to be a PA. You have to shadow doctors or other PA's for many hours before you can even apply to the program to become a PA. All that to get to this drawing... my interpretation of what shadowing a PA looks like.

The hardest part about shadowing a PA is making sure they don't see you. PA's generally have good vision and they're pretty sneaky. It's tough, but if you can get 80 hours of shadowing in without getting caught, you are certainly sneaky enough to be a good PA. At PA school, they teach you to hone your stealth skills, to master the art of deception so that you can appear to be a doctor without actually being one, and how to inflict pain on others and have them pay you to do so.
The artists depiction is pretty much spot on.
