Hurrican Rita

We were told that the hurricane would reach us Mid-Saturday as a Category 1 Storm, even though we're way up in Shreveport. Well, today the weather men were saying that it would only be a tropical storm. Truth be told, the storm hasn't been all that bad. There's been a great deal of wind, but nothing extreme... maybe 30 MPH gusts at the high end.

Katie and I are at a coffee shop just down the street from her apartment. We're here solely because I have an internet addiction, and because the power is out at her apartment. I decided earlier this morning to come over to her apartment before the storm came. She had power and cable, and at our house, we had neither. Our power went out at 4 o'clock this morning before Rita had so much as sneezed in our direction.

Anywho, here we are... soaking wet and a little irritable, but I have my internet fix. I hope everyone else down south is doing well, and from what I hear there haven't been any hurricane related fatalities thus far (apart from the bus explosion in Texas)... so I guess everyone was much better prepared for this hurricane than for Katrina.

Remember me from our IVR class...I tried to email your LaTech account but thought you may already be out. Email me...I was wondering if you have or are using any ASP.NET 2.0.
